About
Marriner Marine Technologies was founded to apply modern positioning, software, and wireless technology to real-world marine safety challenges.
Marriner Marine Technologies began with a personal connection to the commercial fishing community and a practical concern for the people who work in demanding marine environments. The original project focused on exploring technology that could support potential man-overboard detection aboard vessels. As the work developed, the effort grew into a broader vision for marine safety technologies that combine positioning, wireless communication, and software-based awareness tools. The company is currently in an early research and prototype phase, with development focused on careful testing and responsible refinement.
The company was founded around the belief that modern positioning, communication, and software systems can provide crews with better awareness during time-sensitive emergencies. Its first development effort focuses on potential man-overboard detection, with a longer-term goal of supporting broader search-and-rescue and vessel-safety applications.
The Marriner name honors the founder's grandfather, whose last name was Marriner and who was well known within the local commercial fishing community. The name reflects both the company's family roots and its commitment to developing technology for the people who work and travel on the water.
Jacob Radzieta is the founder of Marriner Marine Technologies. Drawing from his engineering background and connection to Cape May County's marine community, he is leading the independent development of the company's first prototype, MMT Sentinel, focused on onboard crew positioning and man-overboard awareness.
To develop practical marine safety technologies that improve awareness and support faster, more informed emergency response.
To help create a marine industry in which modern positioning, communication, and response systems better protect people across commercial, recreational, and large-vessel operations.
Safety, reliability, practical engineering, respect for working mariners, responsible innovation, honest testing, and continuous improvement.
Continue validating MMT Sentinel through controlled testing and expanded vessel trials, move to a more robust vessel-scale network architecture, develop commercially appropriate hardware, expand into recreational and large-vessel applications, and create additional technologies that assist with locating and recovering people after marine incidents.
Design around real vessel conditions, test before making claims, document engineering decisions, listen to vessel operators, protect confidential information, and prioritize dependable operation over unnecessary complexity.
