Current product
Our first system under development, MMT Sentinel, is designed to estimate crew-device locations aboard a vessel and help identify movement consistent with a potential man-overboard event. The prototype combines vessel-mounted positioning hardware, crew-worn devices, onboard software, and planned secondary detection methods.
A person entering the water may not be noticed immediately, especially during demanding vessel operations, limited visibility, or reduced staffing. Crews need dependable awareness tools that can support faster recognition and response without creating excessive false alarms.
The current prototype uses ultra-wideband positioning to measure distances between crew devices and fixed vessel reference points. Onboard software processes those measurements to estimate crew locations, while additional wireless detection methods are being evaluated as independent supporting layers.
Our mission is to develop practical marine technologies that improve situational awareness and support faster, more informed emergency response.
Prototype localization and calibration have been validated through controlled testing and real vessel testing. Development is now advancing toward a more robust wired network architecture for vessel-scale deployment and expanded marine trials. The system is not commercially available, and its architecture and capabilities remain subject to continued development.
Marriner Marine Technologies aims to expand beyond its initial system into broader crew-location, vessel-safety, emergency-response, and search-and-rescue technologies for commercial fishing vessels, recreational boats, yachts, and larger maritime operations.
